MP Steven Miles’ Winter Pyjama Drive for Kids in Care

Our Queensland State Government representative for Murrumba, Steven Miles is running a Winter Pyjama Drive for Kids in Care.

Mr Miles is calling for donations of new children’s winter pyjamas to pass on to the Pyjama Foundation who deliver pyjamas to children in Foster Care.

Sizes required are from 000 upwards to teenagers, with donation drop off located at the Murrumba Electorate Office, at 1/15 Goodfellows Rd Kallangur, between 9.30am – 4.00pm Mon-Fri.

If you are unsure where this is, it is beside the Kallangur Post Office, in the Aldi shopping block, across the road from the Caltex, on Goodfellows Rd.

This drive has been extended to the end of June.

February Business Workshop

We would like to thank Michael Thomas from Outclass Accountants, who ran a presentation on “How to save $500 with your Accountant” at the KBA’s first Business Workshop in February, (following the General Meeting).

This special double KBA Workshop on the 3rd April, will open first with a Tax Workshop and info on the soon to be mandatory Single Tax Payroll process, presented by Michael Thomas from Outclass Accountants.

The second presentation will be an introduction of Facebook for Businesses, for those who are struggling to understand how Facebook works, and also covering the dos & don’ts for businesses using Facebook.

Welcome to the first KBA Newsletter for 2019, in a new dynamic format.

Launch Night

On the evening of January the 22nd, we launched our 2019 year at the Murrumba Downs Tavern.

We started off presenting our General Meeting dates, which have now moved back to the 4th Wednesday of the Month.

The dates are listed below (and are also listed here on our website). Note we will not be running a General Meeting in April due to school holidays & easter.

The Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) in partnership with Regional Development Australia (RDA) Moreton Bay are running this 2 hour, hands on workshop later this month, to help small businesses better use Mailchimp to Engage, Re-purpose & Retain their customers/clients.

The workshop includes:

  • Using Mailchimp as the main email communication platform, in this workshop you will learn:
  • Setup your newsletter for increased engagement
  • The process for developing an automated response campaign
